Atlanta — Krystal Restaurants LLC, the original quick-service restaurant chain in the South, plans to open its first location in North Carolina this fall. Located in Wilson, N.C., the store will be built alongside Circle K and feature Krystal’s new convenience store design, which has a sleek and contemporary look and caters to consumers on the go.
“We are proud to bring our standout business model and our innovative restaurant design to the state of North Carolina,” says Josh Kern, CEO of SPB Hospitality. “As we continue to focus on expanding the reach of our brand and how we can best serve our guests, design plays a key role, and we look forward to continued operations optimization in both our traditional and non-traditional layouts.”
The new c-store design is consistent with maximization of restaurant square footage, increased guest accessibility and a mutually beneficial operations flow between the restaurant and convenience store partners.
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Krystal and bring the brand to Wilson,” says Josh Ware, head of restaurants for Circle K. “Our brands are aligned on strategic efforts to serve multiple dayparts, and we look forward to welcoming guests to experience the iconic Krystal menu in an innovative space alongside the great products and offers available at Circle K.”
With an eye toward sustained growth, Krystal is dedicated to deploying its proven, efficient layout designs across both new and existing markets. This strategic expansion underscores the brand’s ambition to fortify its presence and redefine the quick-service restaurant industry through innovative design and guest-focused experiences.
Headquartered in Atlanta, Krystal Restaurants LLC was first founded in 1932. Krystal has grown to be in 10 states with nearly 300 restaurants. For more information, visit www.krystal.com.
